Bird Brains!

Are you curious about those critters flying above us?  Wonder which came first, the chicken or the egg?  Ever been called a bird-nerd? The JOIN US!

When:     Thursdays in March and April

Time:       3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Where:    Hesston Public Library Community Room

Who:       3rd grade – 8th grade Kids

Cost:       Free but pre-registration is required and space is limited to 16 participants

Topics will change each week and include identifying birds, how feathers work, bird sounds, nests, and MORE! Program participants will learn to use binoculars, received some birding books, and will get silly in order to discover how birds eat and what happens during migration.

The program will be taught by one of Hesston’s local “bird brains,” Ethan Maynard with assistance from Library Director, Libby Albers.
