E-books available through State Library of Kansas!

The State Library of Kansas’ e-book service is up and running!

The 3M Cloud Library is available at the State Library’s EZ Library page. An app is available for Android smartphones and most iProducts (iPad, iPod Touch, etc.). For computer access, click on “Computer Access-PC Instructions” under 3M Cloud Library on the EZ Library page. The service is NOT Kindle compatible.

Currently, the State Library is compiling a list of compatible devices, and the computer access app is still in beta mode, so there may be some kinks to be worked on. However, it’s another great free site to try! Currently, our library has successfully used the 3M Cloud Library app on an HTC Android phone and an iPad, and we have downloaded a book successfully to a Nook Simple Touch. We’ll be happy to answer questions as best we can at the library, 620.327.4666 or hesstonpubliclibrary@gmail.com.

To access the 3M Cloud Library, you’ll need a Kansas Library Card, available at the library. The service is free and open to all residents of Kansas.

A link to the EZ Library, as well as to our library’s Sunflower eLibrary, click on the ELIBRARY tab above.
