Anyone interested in memoir writing is encouraged to attend the free workshop tonight, 6:30 p.m., with Al Ortolani, published poet and writing instructor. This event is part of “Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War,” a statewide oral history project to commemorate 50 years since the escalation of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. Hunger Games Scavenger Hunt (grades 5-8)

May the odds ever be in your favor during the library’s Hunger Games Scavenger Hunt for teens who have just completed grades 5-8. The event will be at the library, 300 N. Main, with ice cream sundaes after the hunt.
