Anyone interested in memoir writing is encouraged to attend the free workshop tonight, 6:30 p.m., with Al Ortolani, published poet and writing instructor. This event is part of “Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War,” a statewide oral history project to commemorate 50 years since the escalation of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. Hunger Games Scavenger Hunt!

May the odds be ever in your favor at our Hunger Games Scavenger Hunt!

Middle school students are invited to become tributes and test their skills during the games at 6:30 p.m. on June 19 at the library.

Participants who have iPod touches, iPads and smartphones are encouraged to bring them for use during the hunt; extra devices will be available. Ice cream sundaes will be served. The event will last about an hour.
