Anyone interested in memoir writing is encouraged to attend the free workshop tonight, 6:30 p.m., with Al Ortolani, published poet and writing instructor. This event is part of “Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War,” a statewide oral history project to commemorate 50 years since the escalation of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. Summer Reading Program participants can begin turning in reading charts for prizes! Kids and teens who have met their goal can pick from an awesome selection of books, including:
