Anyone interested in memoir writing is encouraged to attend the free workshop tonight, 6:30 p.m., with Al Ortolani, published poet and writing instructor. This event is part of “Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War,” a statewide oral history project to commemorate 50 years since the escalation of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. Living in Space program

Kids of all ages, and their parents and other involved adults, are invited to a Living in Space program at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, at the Hesston High School Auditorium. The program will be put on by the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson. This event is free and open to all. It is co-sponsored by the library and Hesston Recreation and Community Education.
