Audio Book SYNC

Sync-HeaderLove Audiobooks? Every summer SYNC provides FREE downloadable audiobooks of Young Adult books that are paired with classic books.

http://www.audiobooksync.com/

Here is the catch – two new books are available each week, but you have to download them THAT week or you have missed your chance.  Once downloaded, they are yours forever (or until you decide to delete them).

The program kicked off this week with “Beautiful Creatures,” by Kami Garcia paired with one of my all-time favorite books, “Rebecca,” by Daphne Du Maurier.

Scoring 28 free new reads for your ears is a great way to enjoy the summer!

New Rick Riordan book

Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and a contributor to the 39 Clues series, is launching a new set of adventures with “The Red Pyramid,” book one of the Kane Chronicles series.

The book is scheduled to be released on May 4 (and yes, it’s on our May order list here at the library!), but you can read the opening paragraphs of the book right now by visiting this page at Amazon.com and downloading it.

The sneak peek can go to a Kindle or other compatible device, or you can download the Kindle App for your PC. It’s free and easy! Just click the link on the right-hand side of the page, about halfway down.

Enjoy!
